The battery and charger work great.
The battery that came with the camera is not a rechargable battery. That is why it does not charge. That battery is a throw away battery. Once used throw it into recycling.
The battery that came with this charger is rechargable. Charge and reuse!!!

I couldn't find a charger for my Kodak 14 mp camera anywhere....this charger comes with the battery that fits my camera, but does not charge my battery that came with my camera.....so I just usethe one that came with the charger. For the price, it's great!! Saved me lots on regular batteries.

I bought this charger for the Z1485 IS. I used the item number that was provided. First, this is not the right charger for the model I have. Secondly, I found this out by calling HSN who gave me a number for Kodak. After 1/2 hr and providing them with way too much information I was told I had the wrong charger but, they would provide me the correct one for $75.00. Don't wast your time order this. I have done all the leg work for you.
