No Transfer / , NC8/13/2008 The PC to PC File Transfer does not work. I tried several times to transfer files from an older laptop to a new one, both Gateway. I even had someone more computer savvy than I to try as well. We followed the directions, received the split screen w/each try. Although both pc''s worked properly and the files appeared to transfer, they did not. Not sure why this didn''t work but it didn''t so am returning the product.
Read this before purchasing / Maggie, MI7/28/2008 The PC Eraser is the part of the package I was really disappointed with. When I started to scrub the free space on my computer which I am giving away, it didn''t look like the software was doing anything. I restarted it 4 times thinking it wasn''t working. Emailed company and they admitted it would take several days! OF COURSE, NO MENTIONS THAT ON AIR! There is very little trouble-shooting information in the barely there documentation.
Works great, BUT7/27/2008 the cable does not function properly. It is supposed to stop at the preset clicks. Mine did not, the cable just keeps retracting. So I can use it, but it is pulling on both machines. HSN was sold out at that time so I contacted the manufacturer. To replace, I would have to pay the shipping charges, even though this product was defective right out of the box. Very unhappy about that and certainly not going to pay, so I am stuck. Had the manufacturer stepped up, I would have given a higher rating.
Works like a dream / DNS, PA5/21/2008 Worked like a dream I was so impressed. Based on the comments thought I would have a problem, but didn''t. New computer came with an automatic transfer program from old computer to new. It was simple to use but this product was even simmpler with only a few steps. Love it.
Transfer for Dummies / , AL5/5/2008 I must be a dummie, because I could not get this to work. I got as far as the split screen, but it would not transfer from one computer to the other. No telephone number to call to find help. Not sure what the problem was, but would have loved for it to worked. I did all the directions said, but still would not work. The directions did not tell you what to do when you tried to transfer one to the other and it would not stay there.
I really needed a person to help!!!!!!!!
