How frustrating can you get! / Robin, MA   7/22/2007
Don''t buy this! Don''t, Don''t Don''t buy this. I returned one, bought another one and the second one broke too. I was so careful. Counted the sheets of paper as not to go over about 6 pieces. Both machines jammed. I even cut my fingers trying to get the paper out. Thought for the price I was getting one a little better than a $30 one. I''m very mechanically inclined and follow directions very well too. Believe me, you''ll be sorry if you order this one!!!

The shredder would bog down with just one sheet of paper. After less than an hour of use, the shredder began smoking! I looked inside to see that the paper had accumulated on the blades and was not going directly into the basket. The contents in the basket was more like gray powder. I reversed the blades, but it began smoking again. The motor just isn''t strong enough. I''m glad that I didn''t put 10 sheets in at once like it says you can! I sent it back the next morning.

Never purchase another Royal product    2/16/2007
this is the second ROYAL shredder i have hated! the first one broke after 6 weeks of use and was way too heavy, had a hard time throwing it out!...2nd one no good either.....was as gift, i would never buy another royal product....they are very heavy and very poorly made...they just don''t hold up....only for your 30 day period...so you can''t return...to heavy to return anyway....bad brand, bad product;...can get one at sam''s club for 15 bucks....
