My tv exceeded my expectations the blu ray player is an added value and Id recommend this tv to anyone that wants to buy a blu ray player as well with 1080p resolution that this model outputs it is truly hard to tell the difference from standard definiion channels from high def when they say backward compatible it means you can also playback regular dvds/cds as well as music cds it is unusual that a tv comes with a 5 band graphic equalizer and two remotes that comes in handy in case say for instance you run out of aaa batteries or double a batteries but keep in mind certain functions work on the master remote only and one final thought if you have a disc in the machine you press (play with the tv off) the blu ray player kicks in and starts up and id like to recommend to the hsn administration to do 2 things make this a customer pick and feature this 42 inch model moreloften the frame all around acting as the speakers makes that a great feature
