Packs a big punch! / Mr. Conquest, CA8/25/2008 I recently purchased this camera to use as a back-up for a Hawaiian vacation. The price was great, the features were in-line with other higher priced cameras, and the size was perfect! I have to say I really fell in love with this camera while in Hawaii! It is so versatile, from video, still, to MP3 with a single button! It was the perfect size to slip into my pocket and take everywhere from cruising, hiking, or helicopter rides. It''s super simple to use and very lightweight. Great buy!
Loaded with features...but what a disappointment / Vicki, NC8/8/2008 There''s just so much to like about this little camcorder. But I ultimately would never be satisfied with the poor picture quality - somewhat grainy and dark rather than sharp and clear. And the recorded picture jumps and skips when the zoom feature was used during filming. My clunky old VHS camcorder did a better job than this. I''m really disappointed...thought I could trust the name Vivitar. Not this time, for sure. Come on HSN; quality control is slipping.
Still up in the air! / , MD8/5/2008 I''d really rate it a 2.5! I love the size of it. It is REALLY convenient, however, it seems it just works best during the day. There is no light that a typical camcorder has in order to shoot during the evening. When you try to do so, it is REALLY dark. I am unable to zoom although it clearly has the telewide buttons on it. I''m sure I''m stuck with it because more than 20 days has elapsed.
I really wanted to like this / Fran7/17/2008 It''s so compact and cute, but the quality of the pictures was very dark no matter what light i was in. Also, very hard to transfer to computer. A little to complex. I ended up returning it.
